Description

Karen was born and raised in Michigan. A graduate of Michigan State University with a BS Degree in Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology.After college graduation, Karen moved to Hawaii to work as a Substance Abuse Counselor, working with Vietnam soldiers as they returned to the US. After moving to North Carolina in 1973, she spent the next 23 years as a Social Worker, specializing in working with disabled adults. Her artistic nature even led her to starting a stained glass business, which she still operates today. She has received a number of Artist Awards for her work.
